The Exploration Place continues to plan and respond to the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The health and safety of children in our programs, their families and our staff is our top priority. Decisions are being made based on guidance that has been provided by national, provincial and municipal governments as well as Northern Health Community Care Licensing. At this time, registration for Early Explorers Preschool will continue as planned. Should our programs be delayed or cancelled we will let you know immediately and deposits will be held until re-opening or refunds will be issued.

Description:

Our licensed preschool program is delivered by a team of qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educators.  Your child will engage all of their senses as they discover, explore and investigate science and heritage through play, hands-on activities, and demonstrations.  Your child will have valuable experiences in a fun, non-intimidating environment that fosters social, physical, emotional, and intellectual development as they prepare for Kindergarten.  With the added benefit of stunning outdoor spaces and the Explorers Urban Garden project, this program is unlike any other in our area!

We do accept government subsidy.

Yearly Calendar:

Early Explorers Preschool follows the School District #57 (SD57) calendar.  Preschool is not in session on any days that SD57 is not in session.  We only vary from the calendar on our September start dates and June end dates.

Early Childhood Educators:

Early Explorers Preschool is a licensed preschool program. Our preschool teachers are certified and licensed Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and Early Childhood Educator Assistants (ECEA). Preschool teachers also have their Emergency First Aid for Childcare Certification and regularly attend professional development activities to ensure that they are up-to-date on emerging theories and practice related to Early Childhood Education.
