Homeschooler Mondays 2009-2010

Join our education staff for an hour of self-directed learning in our galleries followed by an hour-long school program, and then we open up our atrium for homeschooled families to eat their lunches and visit.

We recognize that homeschooled families often have children of a variety of ages, so each Homeschooler Monday we will offer a preschooler program for ages 3-4, a primary program for grades K-3, and an intermediate program for grades 4-7 simultaneously.

We ask that parents of multi-child families attend the program with their youngest child. An adult must accompany children attending the preschool program.

Registration is completed on a first come-first served basis. We strongly suggest pre-registering, as we cannot guarantee that there will still be space in the programs, and pre-registration helps our staff plan for equipment and supplies. Registration is limited 20 children in the preschool program, 24 in the primary program, and 30 in the intermediate program.

Fees are $4/child for Museum members and $5/child for non-members. There is no charge for parent/guardian chaperones attending the programs with their children.

Preschool programs are geared towards 3 & 4 year olds, and adults must accompany children to these programs.  Primary programs are geared towards grades K-3, and intermediate programs are gearded towards grades 4-7.

2009-2010 Daily Schedule:

11am-12pm Instructor led programs
12-1pm Atrium available for lunches, visiting
