Fraser River Stone Tools

Fraser River Stone Tools

These stone tools are some of the archaeological materials excavated from site FiRq-013 on the banks of the Fraser River in the City of Prince George. Researchers have dated these materials to be approximately 10,000 years old. The partial excavation of site FiRq-013 in 2006 pushed the suggested date of initial human occupation for the Prince George region back by approximately 5,000 years.
