What is light? Where does it come from? What are the purpose and uses of light? Light is an electromagnetic wave, as are microwaves or x-rays. Its distinctive feature is blindingly obvious, it’s visible! Come and see light under all angles and analyze its behaviour by handling different light sources and obstacles. Let yourself be dazzled by the magic of refraction and discover polarization! Light can come from a natural source, like the sun, or from an artificial one, invented by humans. It often emanates from an incandescence phenomenon, linked to hot temperatures. It’s also sometimes the result of an electron returning to its fundamental energy state.
