Green Energy Forecast
Grade 6-9
What can you do to help the climate crisis? Become a data scientist and see how machine learning can create a green energy forecast to help you make smart choices about your energy use.
Machine Learning is a powerful tool that we can use to help tackle the big problems our world is facing. In this workshop, students will receive an introduction to the power of machine learning as we explore what it is, how it works, and the ethical implications of using it.
- Length: 60 minutes
- Cost: Free
We will look at machine learning through the lens of the current climate crisis and analyze local data to create a forecast of energy production. With this forecast, we can discuss strategies for reducing our carbon footprint, and the optimal times to engage in these strategies based on the model we’ve produced.
