PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Exploration Place (Fraser-Fort George Museum Society) is inviting applications from enthusiastic and dedicated community members to join its Board of Trustees. Situated on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh Nation, this non-profit organization and registered charity’s mission is to provide a local lens on our evolving world by fostering discovery and engagement. The Exploration Place is dedicated to preserving our local history and fostering lifelong learning in the areas of science, technology, heritage, and culture.
The Exploration Place is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of volunteers from the community who share the mission and vision of the organization and are responsible for its well-being. Trustees come from diverse backgrounds; however, all share a commitment to the goals of the Museum and giving back to the communities in which they live and work.
As a Trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in governance and working in the non-profit sector, develop and broaden your leadership skills, and expand networking opportunities. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a committed group of people to fulfill a mission in which you strongly believe.
If you’re interested in becoming a Board Trustee and feel that you would make a good addition to our team, learn more and apply online at https://theexplorationplace.com/exploration-place/#board. The deadline for applications is April 22nd, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
