The Exploration Place is thrilled to announce that our free school programs will continue for the 2024-2025 school year, thanks to our generous supporters at the Drax Foundation. The museum is one of three organizations to receive funding from the Drax Foundation’s second annual round of granting.

Free programming increases accessibility to all students, including those from low socioeconomic backgrounds and those from rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. This initiative is critical in reducing the financial and travel barriers that often hinder access to quality, hands-on education. In 2024, we also hope to offer bursaries for bus travel.

Building on the foundation established in 2023, our 2024 project will continue to develop and introduce new programs that cover a broad spectrum of STEAM-based, historical, and cultural topics, offered both onsite at The Exploration Place and through outreach across Northern BC.

Bookings will begin in September. Stay tuned for more information.
