PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Exploration Place is spreading holiday cheer this season with A Merry Morning at the Museum, a festive event that promises to create cherished family memories and a new Christmas tradition. The Exploration Place is delighted to announce Tourism Prince George as the presenting sponsor for this inaugural event. Thanks to their generous support, children can now attend for free, ensuring this magical morning is accessible to families across the community.
“A Merry Morning at the Museum represents what we’re all about—bringing families together to create meaningful experiences,” said Alyssa Leier, Executive Director of The Exploration Place. “Thanks to the incredible support of Tourism Prince George, we’re able to make this event more accessible to families and showcase the spirit of community collaboration.”
This whimsical event will transform The Exploration Place into a festive wonderland filled with delicious food, retro toys, and exciting holiday activities. Guests will also enjoy visits from very special guests, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The Origins Kitchen Executive Chef and team have curated a sumptuous breakfast buffet featuring locally sourced ingredients. For children, there’s a whimsical Christmas workshop—sponsored by Northern Routes—where they can create unique ornaments, decorate cookies, and enjoy fun activities in the museum galleries. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance, spreading holiday cheer and listening to children’s wishes.
“We are proud to support this fun family holiday event. It’s activities like these that make our community great,” said Colin Carson, CEO of Tourism Prince George. “The Exploration Place showcases our history and local culture and provides incredible attractions that draw in visitors to Prince George. We are happy to contribute and help make this event a huge success.”
