Safety protocols in place for school & community programs
Since the beginning of the pandemic, The Exploration Place has taken an evidence-based approach to our health and safety protocols for our staff in our building and now here at the Pop-Up. We are committed to ensuring all guests have access to hand sanitization stations and are asking everyone to respect proper distancing measures. In addition, we are performing extra cleaning, have implemented a mandatory mask policy for everyone five years and up, and require proof of vaccination for everyone 12 years and up upon entry.
For school programs and community programs, all teachers and adult helpers must wear a mask and be prepared to show:
- A valid government photo ID
- A BC Vaccine Card showing full vaccination against COVID-19
* CURRENTLY – While public programming in the Pop-Up is on hold, BC Vaccine Cards will not be required to enter the retail space. - A provincially/territorially recognized vaccine record for guests visiting from outside BC.
- Proof of vaccination used to enter Canada for guests visiting from outside Canada.
School-aged children 12 years and up:
- Must always wear a mask during the program
- Must be prepared to show a BC Vaccine Card showing full vaccination against COVID-19
- A provincially/territorially recognized vaccine record for guests visiting from outside BC
- Proof of vaccination used to enter Canada for guests visiting from outside Canada
School-aged children (K to 12 years of age):
- Must always wear a mask during the program
Your safety, the safety of children who cannot yet be vaccinated, and the safety of our staff is our top priority. That is why we have taken additional measures to ensure your experience with us is a safe and enjoyable one.
We ask for your patience as we work through the exciting opportunity to connect with people in person again at the Pine Centre Mall Pop-Up. We also ask that everyone continue to be kind, calm, and safe – especially to our staff complying with regulations and protocols in place.
