Homeschooler Monday

Join our education staff for an hour-long school program. You are then welcome to enjoy lunch* in our Gaia Gallery, or to explore the museum galleries with your child(ren).

We ask that parents of multi-child families attend the program with their youngest child. Children too young to be registered for a program may attend and explore the museum with their parent for $2.50.

Registration is limited and completed on a first-come, first-served basis. 

*Note: No outside food permitted. Catered lunches are available for purchase at the time of booking.

Members: $7.50/child
Non-Members: $12.50/child
Siblings 2-4 years: $2.50/child
Parent: Free

Maximum 20 students per group. Bookings for each session will open approximately a month before the session date. Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Buzz on Bees and Beyond

In this exciting homeschool program, students will explore the fascinating world of pollinators—bees, butterflies, birds, and more! Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging crafts, children will learn about the critical role these creatures play in our ecosystems and the importance of protecting them.

 

Garden Geniuses: Growing Green Thumbs

In the Garden Geniuses program, students will roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of gardening with hands-on activities in our on-site Explorers Urban Garden. This one-hour session is packed with interactive gardening experiences where kids will learn the basics of planting, maintaining, and harvesting while exploring how plants grow and thrive. With a focus on environmental stewardship, teamwork, and science, this program is perfect for young gardeners eager to grow their knowledge—and their own plants!
