Our Climate Quest coming to The Exploration Place in October

We're excited to announce that from October 8-29, we'll be hosting a new exhibit from Science North. Make your mark at Our Climate Quest – a hands-on exhibition full of family fun to help change the world. This new Science North exhibit is jam-packed with activities for all ages. Check out the Climate Action Show, find your path to action, and meet real change-makers. With tons of hands-on activities, it’s sure to be a memorable experience.

Free School Visits and Programs for 2023-24

The Exploration Place has been offering school programming to classrooms across Northern BC since 2001. Thanks to an $80,000 grant from the Drax Foundation, school visits and programs will be offered free of charge for Northern BC elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools in the 2023-2024 school year.

GPEG closed for exhibit changeover

The George Phillips Exhibit Gallery is currently closed as we take down the World War Women exhibit and set up Broken Promises. Broken Promises is coming to us from the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre and is scheduled to open on September 23rd.

The train is still running on Thursdays, with a slight change of schedule

Great news! The Little Prince will continue to run on Thursdays, but with a slight change in schedule. As we've all noticed, the days are getting shorter, and it's starting to get darker earlier. Beginning today, the Little Prince will be shutting down at 7pm instead of the usual 8pm. The museum will still be open until 8. See you soon!
